Main research areas: open copyright licensing, commons-based peer production, governance in online spaces and virtual worlds, the intersection of contract and intellectual property law, and consumer protection, security and privacy issues.
Researcher with the Australian Creative Commons project. Work involves adapting the licences to Australian law, and raising awareness and use of the licences in Australia.
Involved with the new Open Access to Knowledge project at QUT, which aims to develop and adopt legal protocols for managing copyright in an open access environment.
Created a set of innovative problem-based learning legal ethics scenarios for use both by undergraduate law students and legal practitioners for continuing legal education.
